how can i get a list of patches installed in w2k3 ?

At this point, it should be pretty much (for a standard server)..

- Windows 2003 Service Pack 1

You could look in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates
(May not sho everything though..)

Maybe combine it with this registry area:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall

Or..
