Live messenger keeps adding unwanted Hotmail contacts!

Hi,
I wanted to still use version 8.5 but keep being told it will not work
anymore.
I installed the latest version and on installing it tried to add loads of
Hotmail contacts that I do not want.
It keeps doing that and I have tick each one to block it............

Is it the same ones every time, or different ones, or what?

I've had the same issue. Appears to be some form of spam, however, unlike
most spammers, these are authomatically added without my acceptance.

Different ones each time.
Some have what I call"pornographic"names
As soon as I started Messenger then loads of so called contacts came up.

Can you guys give some examples/screenshots of some of these contacts?

Never heard of such a thing.

Basically it's like any other added name, except it doesn't ask to be added,
it just adds. Deleting and blocking by clicking on the name, doesn't have
the option to report as spam.

What happens is like someone adding theirself to your contact list as soon
as you log on or whatever.
I had 20 people all with @hotmail.com addresses all adding theirselves as
fast as I clicked to not have them on my list, another tried and
another.....
names like ..................
It also happened last year to people when Hotmail accounts got hacked

Reporting the hotmail user to Microsoft via their abuse service only gets
and standard email reponse.
Does it take a huge virus outbreak for Microsoft to fix the gaping holes in
their security?
