First up, finding help on Windows Live for my problem is impossible.

The problem I have : When I am using Windows Live Messenger and I want to
start a Video Call I my Messenger displays my webcam until the person I am
calling connects. Then Messenger will either Freeze or return an error code,
after that I can no longer use the Webcam to try and make Video or Audio
calls. Only remedy is shut down Messenger and restart. (Sometimes Reboot).

If I run the Wizard to setup the webcam that works fine, it's only problem
is connecting to the person you want to chat to.

If I get an error code it shows :
"Messenger is not available right now, Please try again later. (0x8100039d)"
or
"Messenger is not available right now, Please try again later. (0x8ac70101)"
or
"Messenger is not available right now, Please try again later. (0x8ac70013)"
there can be more.

I have 2 installs of Vista 64bit (2 hard drives). My main installation is
the one with the problem, the 2nd install (like a emergency backup) the
webcam works fine. So I feel comfortable in saying it is not hardware related.

I have many times un-installed Windows Live and the Microsoft webcam
software, rebooted and reinstalled and each time is the same result. This
problem started when there was a Windows Update that installed a Hardware
Manager for Windows Live, I since removed that and it didn't fix my problem.

I can't seem to find any logs on the computer to copy and paste detailed
error messages.

I guess what I would like to do is not only un-install these two programs
but also accuratly flush them from the registery incase something is left
behind that will stop it working next install. But I don't know how to do
that.

How is that done, I seem only to be able to download the latest version.

As a note to this, today I did a ghost backup of the drive and installed a
fresh Vista64. The latest version of Messenger and the Webcam software work.
So I suspect an error in the registery since un-installing and re-installing
don't make it work again.

I think I might just keep this fresh install and add the software back I use.
