Hi,
Sorry this isn't an answer to your question, but just to say I've had
exactly the same problem. I don't know about you Biker Broker but I'm
attempting to use version 8.5 in Windows Vista Home Premium. It seems to
install fine and then whenever I run the program, about 30 seconds later it
says "Live Messenger has stopped working".
I sent an e-mail about it to MSN who said my installation must be corrupt
and I was given a long list of instructions which would basically remove any
trace of Live Messenger from my hard drive. I did this, reset my computer
and then downloaded Live Messenger again using the link they provided.
After all that exactly the same thing happened! So Biker Broker, if someone
tells you to simply clean your hard drive of Live Messenger and start all
over again, you'll probably be wasting your time, because that's what I did.
I think there must be a bug in version 8.5 that only effects certain
configurations of computers running Vista.
If it's any help to an MVP I'm using a laptop with an AMD 2ghz processer,
1gb of RAM and a 120gb hard drive.
I also tried the beta version but since the only difference is that the GUI
has been updated, it still didn't work for me.
Any help would be much appreciated.
