Live messenger will not work with IE7

When I attempt to go to my e-mail inbox two windows open,one of them is a
blank web page and the other is a sign in to the Passport network. When I
sign in to that I go to the windows live account page which does not give me
access to hotmail. What is the problem? I tried your policies regedit but
that key is not in my registry. How do I fix this problem or should I just
uninstall everything and go back to IE6.
