Live Messenger in RC1 crashes randomly

I'm using Vista RC1 (build 5600) and downloaded Live Messenger through the
bundled link. Since the installation two days ago, the messenger crashes at
random times, with no apparent reason. It is irrelevant of other
applications running simultaneously, since it happens even with only
Messenger running. The Vista feature of collecting info about the crash
turns up with nothing and the weird thing is this: my system is dual boot
with WinXP SP2. While Messenger crashes in Vista, if I switch to XP and use
the instance of MEssenger I've got installed there (same version and setup)
everything runs smoothly. There's not a relevant newsgroup in Vista so I
guess this belongs here. Please help me because it's driving me nuts,
crashing every 2 minutes and then working fine for a hour and then crashing
again every 5 minutes!!!!

My Live Messenger crashes randomly anyway since i got the last update for
messenger, tried rolling back my system but that didnt work either, crashes
after 2 or 3 seconds of running it,
also, ive noticed compatability issues between msn and yahoo addresses for
yahoo messenger, so i cnat use that in place of live messenger.
Msn doesnt work if i reinstall it, this has led me to beleive that its done
something irreversible anyone got any helpful advice?
