Live Messenger still having issues

I keep reading they fix it and then they don't have it fixed.

Anyhow I figured I would toss this issue out there.

When I am logged into Live Messenger at the office I can see my contacts
just fine but when I go to talk to one of them I get no response.

When I call one on the phone and ask them if they got my message they tell
me I am showing up as OFFLINE even though I am online.

If I kill the Live Client and load up trillian or 7.5 and log in I show up
as ONLINE and can chat just fine.

and the final puzzle to all of this. If I remote desktop to my home machine
and log in there with my LIVE messenger client everything works just fine.

So in my eyes there is still something going on in the background.
