Can anyone help me with the fact that the new Beta (and the current release
version as well, which is why I upgraded to the Beta) of Live Messenger is
consuming all of my CPU? Actually, all the CPU on one of my CPUs (I have a
CoreDuo). I've read of MSN Messenger doing this all the way back to 2005, and
employed almost every fix I could find... Removing Flash from my system,
disabling Outlook 2003's Messenger integration, turning off firewalls, and
putting rad.msn.com in my IE security red zone. Closing the actual client
window seems to help. Some of my coworkers seem to have this problem as well.
I'm running Windows Live Messenger Beta Version 2009 Build 14.0.5027.908.
We're also running eTrust ITM 8.1.x and Cisco Security Agent v4.0-3. I've
tried disabling these and it doesn't help.
Thanks,
Jesse
