To everyone who is using Windows Live Services: Change your passwords you
don't use somewhere else.

The Live Network is partially hacked and there is the possibility that
passwords were read (encrypted or plain text, doesn't matter).

I already changed mine and advised every employee of the companies i support
to do the same, just to be sure.

Source of this claim?
Note that having strong passwords is always recommended.
Paswords are "stolen" by people using phishing scams more often than any other
method.

Many employees of supported companies receive spam from their contacts. Some
of their contacts are working for companies i support.

I have shut down all LANs and sent out a emergency warning to my co-admins
and we have checked for viruses or intruders. nothing. everything is fine.

i opened the LANs again for usage but also started sniffing the traffic of
those where employees received spam. I saw that the spam messages are send
from outside the LAN and not from the company where the "spam-sending"
contact is working or logged into.

Sure, could be various spam BUT why they don't receive spam from unknown msn
contacts? only from added!!

Nah, we didn't talked about password strength, just everybody should change
their password to one they use nowhere else. Using everywhere the same
password is the worst you ever could do!!! If one site is hacked and they
know your password, they have access to all of your accounts!

it carries as much as your carries but forget it, its not my password or
account you are using. it was just well-meant, if you don't care nobody
should care if one of your accounts got abused.
