LiveMail Not Sending or Receiving Emails

I am using the latest version of LiveMail. Yesterday I sent 5 emails only to
later find them stuck in the Outbox. I clicked the sync button and LiveMail
would begin "receiving email...working on line" only to get stuck there. I
used Live Esssentials to repair LiveMail but it remained the same. I also
uninstalled and reinstalled the program only to have it remain the same.

Since I used MSN, I opened the web based service to send the emails. They
were not there. I am guessing since they were stuck in the Outbox, they
could not appear in MSN. I then moved each email to the draft folder of MSN,
however they remain unavailable in the web based service. I then changed the
"From" email address to another email service in LiveMail, still no joy.

Finally I was forced to use this web based newsgroup to ask for assistance.
I wrote an email to the newsgroup in LiveMail, however, it is stuck in the
Outbox.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

First of all, there is no program named "LiveMail". Since Microsoft
has several similarly named programs and services, it is important to be
accurate about the program name. Did you mean Windows Live Mail?

Can you elaborate in more detail what "moving each email to the draft
folder of MSN" means?

Help for MSN and Windows Live Hotmail issues can be obtained here:

If you were using Pop3 to send your Hotmail type account mail(Hotmail.com, Live.com, or Msn.com) they will never appear in the
WebUI.

If using Http protocol for your Hotmail type account, the message has to be sent before it appears in the web UI Sent folder and
only if the web UI account's options is configured to save 'sent' messages.

The web UI does not have an Outbox.

Messages in the Drafts folder in WLM or in the Web UI do not sync between each other(ie. a message in the Draft folder is only
viewable in the application that created and saved the message to the Draft folder)

Nissi1,
Correction.
The Drafts folder does sync between the two locations(WLM and the Web UI)...though it may take a while. One attempt took over 15
minutes after repeated Sync's even though other items appeared much sooner(thus the reason for my earlier comment), a later attempt
happened on the second sync in both locations almost immediately. Sorry. The other comments still apply.

Windows Live Mail is not sending nor receiving emails as of yesterday.

I use several email accounts in Windows Live Mail: MSN, AOL, Verizon and
Gmail. I sent emails from my MSN account in Windows Live Mail yesterday
which became stuck in the Outbox. Since I could not find copies of these
emails in the "Sent" folder of the MSN in WLM, I moved the emails from the
Outbox to the "Draft" folder of MSN in WLM and attempted to send them again.
Again, the emailsl became stuck in the Outbox. I checked MSN web service for
the emails but they were not there. Today, after I discovered yesterdays
emails in the Outbox, I attempted to send an email to this newsgroup using
Windows Live Mail, however it also got stuck in the Outbox. Finally, I
highlighted and copied each email and sent them using the web services.

I have discovered whenever I click send or sync, WLM begins the process of
receiving and sending emails, but stops. Window Live Mail has been opened
all day, but steadily reads: "your calendar is up to date...working online.
However, emails are not received nor sent.

I can open and read all unread emails received prior to yesterday and also
delete emails, but only one at a time. If I attempt to delete several emails
at once the application freezes.

Today I have received emails in 3 of my email web services, none of which
arrived in Windows Live Mail.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Since the initial problem with the MSN account in WLM, I attempted to send
emails with all the accounts in WLM, including an email to this newsgroup.
None worked. However, since my last post I have found the solution to the
problem.

I noticed whenever I clicked "send" or "sync", WLM would begin the
receiving and sending process but always stopped at the Inbox folder in my
Gmail account. I finally removed the Gmail account and WLM immediately
began downloading new emails to my other accounts; including MSN. (I am
composing this email in WLM and hope I can send it to the Newsgroup from
there.) A window opened detailing the errors with the Gmail account. I
attempted to copy and post the details here, unfortunately the window closed
too quickly.

Thank you everyone for your assistance. I wish you all a joyous and
blessed holiday.

Three questions.
1. Pop3 or http ?
2. ??You sent an email to a newsgroup in a web interface ????
3. Have you compacted the WLM database recently ?
- open WLM(don't access news, contacts, or calendar); set the counter to 1, File/Work Offline, File/Exit. Open WLM and retest

Comments:
-Disable email scanning in your AV software.
-The emails will not be in your web interface. The Outbox does not sync with the web ui.

If the msn account is setup as an http(not Pop3), backup(copy not move) any messages to the WLM storage folders, remove the account
and retest the other accounts. If successful, add the msn.com account and test again.

If you remove a pop account, the settings and the email folders are removed.
Unless you keep a copy on the server, you must move or copy the account
messages to Storage folders before removing the account.

Where you using pop or IMAP for Gmail?

Have you added the Gmail account back?

I was going to reply and say that Nissi1 solved the problem with the other
accounts by removing the Gmail account, then I noticed that you made a
mistake. :-)

http(not pop) should be reversed.
