Local Only, no previous problems, no other computers on network having problems

My laptop is connected to a NetGear router, and has been for over a year
with no problems. I went on vacation and used another network for a week
and when I came back I can no longer connect to the internet with my
home network. I am connected to the network, but it says 'Local Only'.
If I disconnect and reconnect again, it will tell me I have an internet
connection, but as soon as I try to access a web page with my browser,
it drops the connection.

I CAN connect via ethernet cable with no problems, and no other
computers on the network are having any issues. I've tried resetting the
network adapter, uninstalled my antivirus, tried disabling my firewall,
updated my wireless network adapter driver... Any ideas?

Thanks

We have seen many cases like this one. You may want to clean all wireless
conencitons and reset it. This search result may help too.

I tried clearing all my wireless connections, but still no success.
Finally, I unplugged my router and DSL modem for a couple of minutes and
plugged them back in again. Ta-Da! It's working again! Except....
Now one of my XP computers that was working fine now has no internet
connection, but still connects to the network okay. I tried the
unplugging, plugging in of the router and modem again, but no luck this
time. I'm stumped.

Okay, I've got it figured out now. It turns out it was my router.
reset it to the factory settings and started over again. Now all m
computers are on the internet again. Thanks for your suggestions
