I have a partitioned hard drive with user files on separate drive. I
followed intructions to change location of my Documents file from C: to D:,
now I have green Documents folder and another one that is duplicate (Located
on C Drive). Cannot get rid of dup file?

So what "instructions" did you follow? I moved my Documents folder from C to
D and don't have a duplicate on C....

I believe I have the same issue!

A duplicate Documents folder appears in the list of Folders. The folders
list is situated in the left hand window pane, below "Favourite Links".

The only difference between our two scenarios, is mine is located on a
physically separate drive - D:

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same thing?

The way to remove the duplicate is to go to the Users folder on the C: drive
and find your profile, then delete the Documents folder; though do check it
is empty!

The path should be c:\Users\<your profile name>\ <- DO NOT type into the
Search or run command line, but go directly to the hard disk and find it
manually.

:-)

Hi Milo,

This usually happens when a program uses the "Documents" folder to
place a folder that it uses in it. When it does this, it will only use
the default location of the "Documents" folder. It would then create
another one when you have relocated the original one, giving you two
folders like this.

The only way to fix the problem is to check the program's settings to
see if you can change the location of it's folder to the new location of
your "Documents" folder. Otherwise, you will need to restore the default
location of the "Documents" folder to have only one again.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
