Lock + Start Screensaver

Hello,

When I lock my computer (CTRL+L), the screensaver does not ever start.
The screensaver starts on its own after the timeout if I don't lock
it, but my computer sits unlocked until it does. Is there a way to
change this?

CTRL+ALT+DEL login is required.
I don't have a wireless mouse (or keyboard).
