Lock Taskbar / Start Menu Problem.

Dear All,

my laptop rebooted this morning with the blue screen of death!
On reboot, loogged on OK but was asked to recreate Outlook account and
office97 settings.
It seems if the PC has "lost" some of the personalisation but my background
and desktop files were sa before.

Reset everything ok however, I cannot unlock the taskbar nor are any items
showing on the start menu.

Any ideas how I can remind them that they are OK.

Further information on this problem.

It seems to be that the start menu is "ignoring" any changes made to its
properties.
Is there a registry entry that I need to fix to get it working again?
