lock up

i have a nw latitude d830 with vista (that i hate) the 1st time i boot it up
every day after every thing comes up it freez or locks up, you hold the on
off button and shut it down and then turn it on again and it runs fine.

Contact Dell for repair/replacement. This is a hardware issue, probably
related to the power supply. This would be an excellent time to exchange
the laptop for one that you didn't hate, also. Talk to the Dell tech
support people about it.
