locking internet access

How do I restrict access to a specific wireless internet connection? I'm
using windows vista premium and IE 7.

Hi,

You enable security on the connection, WEP or WPA (preferred), or my
favorite - locking down by mac addressing. If it's an open, unsecured point,
then there is nothing you are going to be able to do to stop someone using
the pc from connecting to it.

Locking down the MAC address does *nothing* for security.
I can snoop a MAC address and set it on my card in seconds.
At best it stops someone accidently using your network.
