Lockups with wired connection

My Toshiba laptop with Home Premium almost always locks up when accessing
the internet via a wired connection. This is typically in a hotel room and
usually in the initial session. Using a wireless connection at home, it
never freezes. Does this sound like a Vista problem or a hardware problem?

Hi,

Have you tried turning the wireless off before connecting? You may be
running into a software conflict.

Also, if it only happens on the initial connection and not subsequent ones,
then it's not a hardware problem.
