I can't log in to different users, the computer will only let me log onto one
account and that account is NOT an administrator acct. I've gone into the
control panel and the other accounts are there but I can't get to any log in
screen for them. When I start the computer only one acct/ icon comes up;
there are no other options.

Hi Aaron,

Are you able to to see the accounts in the logon screen when you click
the arrow next to the power button in the Start Menu and click one of
the options? (Switch User or Log Off)

This tutorial will show you how to change which user account will logon
automatically at the startup of Vista.

There's more than one way to skin a cat, but here goes, I hope this helps:

Try this link:

http://aoeex.com/personal/2007/05/03...t_in_vista.php

It will tell you to create a key called "SpecialAccounts" in the left-hand
pane then create entries for them and give them values in the right hand
pane. If the key is already there with the accounts listed then set their
values to 1 not zero.

Now if you just run regedit.exe you will not be able to do this. You will
have to run as an administratror -WHICH YOU CAN DO - from the one and only
account ..here's how:

On the Start menu in that text entry box right at the bottom type in
"regedit" [no quotation marks]. After a moment, regedit should appear at the
top. RIGHT-CLICK on it and select "Run as administrator".

Now you can use regedit as an administrator as per instructions in the
website .. only don't use the zero value, use 1. Be extremely careful using
regedit. As a matter of fact you should run Systsem Restore [Start > All
Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore] before running
regedit. System Restore will prompt you for credentials.

Note: Don't bother with the built-in account called "Administrator". It is
probably disabled and best left that way. Just use one of the created
administrators accounts that you are familiar with.
