Logged in as administrator and updates won't run

I’m running a 2003 server with Quick Books on it and am logging into it as
the default Administrator. The server has worked fine for over 30 days and
now when I try to run Quick Books, I get the error:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library...... it lists the the name of the
file and then..... Abnormal program termination"

Also, when I try to run windows updates, I get the following message:

"To install updates from this website, you must be logged on as an
administrator or a member of the administrator group" Error # 0x8ddd0002

I called QuickBooks and we tested and reran the program and still it won't
work or do updates.

I had previously (45 days ago) when the server was completely installed and
test Ghosted the image to 2 DVDs and then imaged those DVDs to a new hard
drive to test the image and all was fine with the world.

So, since I had these DVDs I put in a new hard drive into the system and
mirrored the image to the new drive..... and upon boot, everything looks the
same as it did 45 days ago but I still get the program error and can’t update
windows.

So, I put the mirrored hard drive into a new computer with the same model
motherboard and a new processor and booted it up and still got the same
errors.

What can I do at this point? It took me several days to get this server up
to where it needed to be and I don't want to have to build a new computer and
reload everything?

I just don't understand why, now, after the mirror image was tested over 30
days ago Why it not fix this issue. What could the problem be? It can't be
a setting because it is as if I loaded the OPS and then sat the hard drive on
the shelf and then placed it back in the system. It can’t be the hard drive,
2 drives that allow everything to work properly but these 2 things. It can't
be the memory, which was switched out or the processor. I doubt that the
Motherboard could be the problem because we stuck the drive in another system.

Please help me.
