Hi All I've been tearing my hair out on this one. I'm on a domain using a
Vista machine. Under XP, if someone left a computer locked and I needed to
log them off I could do so by entering an administrator user name and
password. You get a warning and if accepted the user is logged off and we're
back to the logon. Job Done!
Vista (help) says an administrator can log someone else off but when it's
locked you dont get the option to log off back to logon, instead you have to
log on as another user, wait for your profile to load (which can potentially
be ages) then use Task manager to attempt to log them off.
Does anyone know how (or if) the XP behaviour here can be applied to Vista?
I don't want to be user switched I want them off!

I do know that once you've logged in as an administrator while someone else
is logged in, you can open task manager and log the person off. Its under
the users tab. You can log them off from there. There might be an easier
way, but that's the method I've always used.
