Login Personal Picture is Faded at Top

RE: Vistas Home Premium Can anyone tell me if the personal picture at
log-in when I first turn on my computer is supposed to be faded at the top a
little? For example, I have the golden retriever puppy picture and it is
about 1 inch x 1 inch or smaller at the center of my screen when I turn on my
computer. It has about a half-circle of faded background through the
picture---is this supposed to be this way?

yh, i think so as i got vista basic and have one of their default pics, thats
faded half of it at the top (i think its supposed to be an effect)
