I noticed the update logo in my system tray by the clock the other day, the
one that usually says updates downloaded, click to install, but mine says
"download updates 0%" when I fly over it. It's been a couple of days now,
and I re-booted, checked the site for other updates, I am avoiding SP2 for
the moment, and there were no other updates available. Nothing happens when
I click on the icon in the system tray. So how can I get it to move it or
loose it?

Jeff

Jeff;
Turn off Automatic Updates:
Right click My Computer
Click Properties
Click Automatic Update tab
Make selections as desired.

The file in step 5 may also be deleted if it is there:

If you are using Windows XP (there is no auto updates tab in my
computer/properties) try going to "control panel/System/Automatic Updates".
to turn off the updates.
