I would like for my laptop to do nothing when I close the lid and tha
is how I have it set in Power Options. Most of the time it work
properly. Occasionally though, when I open the lid, it will be at th
logon screen. I have everything adjust so this won't happen, but i
does happen anyway. If I restart the laptop, it will behave properl
for a while but the behavior will start back requiring a restart.
have done everything that I know how to do, but I can't seem to fi
this. Any suggestions, advice would be greatly appreciated

No, and you didn't wait long enough for an answer.

For example, you didn't say whether the computer is running on battery or
AC.

Hi,

If you have automatic updates set to install automatically, then those that
require a restart would do so leaving you at the logon screen when complete.
