Logon Screen (Welcome Screen)

Hi all,
I am trying to go from boot to desktop. I have used the "control
userpassword2' method to bypass the Logon Screen but it doesn't work. I
still see the Logon Screen (the one that says Welcome). I am the only user
and I would really like to not see it altogether. Is there another way to
achieve this? Using Vista Home Premium.
Thanks for your time,
Alice

Control userpasswords2 works. You're doing something wrong. The command
is not as you have written it above but:

control userpasswords2 (note the "s" on the end of "userpasswords")

Please review the instructions again:

Alice,

If you still see the Welcome logon screen after using the "netplwiz or
control userpasswords2", then you may have entered the password
incorrectly or entered one when you do not have one. See this tutorial
to see if it will help you. It is more detailed on setting up the
automatic logon.

Hi all,
I don't have a password associated with my account. I just clicked away the
box that came up that said Alice and to put my password in.

Alice,

How strange. Did you uncheck the "Users must enter a user name and
password to use this computer" box?
