logs

Hello,

In my 'Searches' folder I have several searches saved, none of which were
created by me. There are folders like 'recent documents' etc etc.

One of the folders is 'logs' . If I open it I finds several sub-folders and
dozens of other files, and it takes ages to load fully.

I don't recognise any of the files. Is it safe to delete these 'log' files?
Some seem to be several years old.

You can delete the LOG files.

Short answer is it depends. You wouldn't want to be deleting *.log files in
'C:\Windows\System32\config\' since those constitute your registry, but most
others you can happily delete. While many programs tidy up after themselves,
some, no names mentioned [Windows Media Center'] leave many of their
superfluous log files around ad infinitum eg those in
'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\logs\'

Perhaps a rule of thumb is that if you get a UAC prompt (assuming they're
enabled) trying to delete it then think twice
