I am not sure why you would like to connect the SBS 2008 server to the same SBS 2003 domain network JUST to " move the data between the machines "? If they are in the
same site/area, why don't configure the router which can easily connect the two SBS domain networks for communication and moving data? Otherwise, if they are in different
site/area, have you considered a VPN connections between the two domains/forests?
