long time downlaod the email in Vista machine

Can anyone help me out this issues.... when i use the Vista system to
download an email... it seems took longer that normal and the belows
messages show in the email program....

Does any experence this issue...


below is the message
" Account: '', Server: 'pop3.chrisng.hk', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19"


in the same setting i use in XP has no problem.... kindly advise.

Try increasing the 'Server Timeouts' from 1 minute up to say 3 minutes for
the account

[Windows Mail ]> Tools > Accounts > Properties > Advanced tab

Set your antivirus program to *not* scan email. You will still be
protected. If you are using a McAfee or Norton product, consider
replacing it with a better (less invasive, more compatible) antivirus
such as NOD32, Kaspersky, or even Avast if you want a free one. The
built-in Windows Firewall is adequate for most people.

i turn it off the virus ... still happen the same....
