download the AUTORUNS utility from microsoft
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb963902.aspx

when you run this do this setting> Options > hide microsoft Entries, then
press the REFRESH icon on the toolbar
then go to the LOGON tab and uncheck the ones you dont need...

but not the first ones, only from
"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ru n" and under

Make a restore point before you do this, if you dont know how go to the
start button of vista > HELP and type
SYSTEM RESTORE in the search box

Be careful not to disable things you need like antivirus start up stuff

If you created a new profile, I think you would see speed on logging. It's
likely you have several preferences set for your user account that take time
to load or close.
