Long time to sign in

When I sign in with my main email address it takes a long time to sign in..
when it does it doesnt respond for a while then randomly all my contacts sign
in and its on.. When I sign in with my other account (on the same computer)
everything runs smoothly.. any ideas

Do you have a lot more information on one account that has to be pulled
down, e.g. number of contacts?
Do you have a lot more custom emoticons, pictures, etc. in one account than
in the other?
Every time I log into Messenger I have a lot of information to both pull
down and read from the hard drive (my disk access goes 100% for about 20-30
seconds) and this slows down the signing-in process.
The other one to check is what you're CPU utilization is when logging in. If
you're running high CPU (e.g. right after startup or logging into windows)
then messenger is slower to respond on sign-in.

I have exactly the same problem. I don't have many contacts (<100) and custom
emoticons (<50). Can anyone provide some solutions besides explaining merely
the situation? Thanks.
