Can anyone help me with a question? I am using the backup program included
in Vista Ultimate to back up my files. I am backing up to an external
hardrive. Problem is that after it creates a few backups it registers the
drive as full. There must be a setting where I can tell it to overwrite the
oldest backup but I can not seem to find it. Any suggestions?

Hi bbsstmez,

If you are doing a complete PC backup, then you can simply just delete
the older ones. See the "Backup Location" at the top of here for how.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/99...-computer.html

If you are doing file backups with automatic backups, then it you
should be able to remove them from the restore wizard. See step 5 here.
You can also remove them manually using the same method above.

Why not just browse the external drive and delete the old back then create a
new Complete PC Backup again? It doesn't make sense keeping archived backups
if the computer is in a good working state.

Are you saying it registers the drive as full even though it's not?

No, it is indeed full from the previous 3-4 backups. I just want ti to
everwrite the oldsest ones on its own as part of a weekly auto backup.

I would just delete entire backup and create a new one from scratch, looks
like the Complete PC Backup does not do incremental backups which is what
you are looking for.
