Losing certain preferences on re-boot

Whenever I reboot my Vista Home Premium, I lose certain
preference information. For example, in TV Guide, I lose
the identity of which cable company I use and how I want
my TV Guide displayed.

I am careful about not erasing any cookies from these
sites, so my question is whether Vista is erasing them
for me. Strangely, I have other preferences for other
web sites, and those are preserved on reboot.

How can I avoid this resetting?
