I all of a sudden cannot see anymore the "add/remove SW" in the VISTA64
control panel.
How do I get it back?

Hi,

Click start, type:

control appwiz.cpl

and hit <enter>. Does this open the applet? If so, it may be in the wrong
folder (should be under C:\Windows\System32). If not, then the applet may be
either missing or damaged.

Thanks, guys. Works fine. Just do not understand why MS had to change
something SO basic that we knew for YEARS where it was.

Hi,

They changed the appearance of that applet, but its name and location remain
the same as it was in XP and 2000.

If I understand correctly, running that command opened the applet. If so,
have you checked that it is in the correct location?

I don't understand it either.
Few professionals understand why MS has to wreck a good, working OS that
WinXP was.

Not only this was damaged, but also Display properties were broken into
separate applets instead of a single, LOGICAL window with logical tabs.
In Vista it all became messed up and broken into sub-windows.
Stupid.

I don't even know whther it went back to XP style in Win7, but XP was good
