Lost "documents" link

I asked a question about saving Vista "Documents" to D drive and was
given advice by DL to do to Properties, Location, Move. I thought I did
OK but now I don't have Documents in the links in the Explorer window.
Vista said the Documents link had moved and did I want to delete it and
I did. I though it would make a new one for the new location. Also, now
the whole D drive icon shows up in the explorer window as if it were a
folder. Can I undo what I've done or get Documents back and get the
files under Documents to save to D? I would need to do the same with
Pictures and Music.

I'm pretty desperate now. I think I've really messed up my new laptop.
