Lost drive path to CD player

I recently installed and formatted a second hard drive on my computer. When I
did this the hard drive took over the drive path "D" that my CD ROM had been
using. I changed the hard drive's letter to "E" hoping it would bring back
the CD. I've tried different patches. The drivers are all working and I've
deleted the IDE ATA/ATPI drivers and rebooted the system. I've looked at the
BIOS and it says the CD player is not installed. I'm at a loss as to what to
do now. I have a Dell Dimension 4600 with Windows XP and the CD player came
with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Kay
