Lost Dual Boot

I started out with Windows XP, then I decided to try out Windows XP BETA 1,
(this was a while ago). So I created a second partition and there I had a
dual boot configuration. This worked out just fine, until yesterday, I ran a
malicious program which deleted my system32 folder in Windows XP, so because
of that, I decided to re-install WIndows XP. I ran the setup utility with my
CD, and I chose to format my C: Partition (Which is where the original
Windows XP was located). The install went fine, but now I lost my dual boot
and can no longer access Windows Vista. I also noticed that some of the drive
letters in my system have changed. Windows Vista partition used to be H, now
it is F.

*Correction on line 1: I meant to say Windows Vista BETA 2, not Windows XP
Beta 1.

Boot with the Vista DVD. You need to get to the repair options. Select
Startup Repair.

I have tried that, I just booted with my Windows Vista DVD, and I clicked
"Repair my PC" and it did some scans and discovered "F: WIndows Vista
Ultimate (Recovered)". It attempted a repair and restarted my computer, but
it still goes right to Windows XP without going through a OS selection menu.

Try it again, and make sure you select Startup Repair. Sometimes it can
take a couple of attempts. The part that has me curious is this: "F:
WIndows Vista Ultimate (Recovered)". Recovered? Something may well be
amiss with your Vista installation. I have never seen 'Recovered' when I've
done a Startup Repair.

What was the malicious program that affected your XP installation? There is
a possibility that it might have affected other partitions in some way.

Well I'm quite sure the program didn't touch the other partitions. The reason
it says "Recovered" is because the Vista repair scanned and found it, then it
added "Recovered" to it. I've since fixed my program it with a 3rd-party
tool. But the odd thing is that my Vista drive appears as F in Windows XP,
and H in Vista.
