lost e-mails

I am losing my e-mails after I open them. They are disappearing from the
inbox . I believe they are still being saved somewhere, but don't know
where, or how to locate and fix the problem. Please help.. anyone.

While in the Inbox: View | Current View. Show All Messages should be the
only option checked.
