Lost installlog file.

I downloaded yahoo messenger 10 and my contacts and adresses were missing.
The messenger box is blank. When I tried to uninstall the messenger program
an error message said that the "Installlog File" is missing and would not
uninstall. I tried dowloading messenger 10 again to see if it would fix it.
It downloads but will not install. I tried downloading other programs and
they will not install either. Does anyone know how I can get the "installlog
file" back?

Hello Rick,

Download <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301> (ignore the titlle)
and run it. Once the cleanup tool is installed, it will appear in
Start, programs. Run it, and look for messenger program . Clean up
messenger, if such an entry exists.

Try to remove it with Revo Uninstaller (Free version)
<http://www.revouninstaller.com/>
But use the REVO uninstaller (fourth/last option). That way you are
certain to scrap all the registry entries.
