Lost Itunes cd burning after fixing registry because of Roxio remo

I unfortunately removed all Roxio Sonic software from my Win Xp Sp3 computer
which caused an error 39 loss of cd/dvd in device manager. I applied the
microsoft registry fix involving deleting UpperFilters and Lower Filters
values for a specific regisry key mentioned

All my burning applications work normally such as Nero 9, Imageburn and
Deepburner except Itunes 9. When I open Itunes I get this error:"Warning The
registry settings used by Itunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and
DVDs is missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning
software. Please reinstall Itunes"
i unistalled and reinstalled several times and also tried a repaire of the
program to no avail. I also installed the latest Gearsoft drivers with the
same result.
