Hi,

i use msn passport to login into msn messenger, the problem is i have
already stored password long time ago that i forget the password,
recently i made ghost image as backup, and formated the windows, and now
can't login into msn. could tell me which file is stored the password,
so i could extract the file and put in new windows. i want to resolve
this issue without much work, if it is not possible, as my last resort
is restore the image and with recover a password with program or
something. i hope what i wrote is understandable because of my poor english.

Regards,
Pablo

Greetings Pablo,

The following utility should help you out. Just run it on your old installation:

hi,
thanks for your answer, i will do this if can't resolve the problem on
the other way, because this solution, imply me to make ghost backup of
my actual windows to restore later, restore old backup only to recover
password.

regards,
Pablo

Hi,

I don't believe you'll be able to "pull out" a file, as it stores this encrypted inside your
Windows profile.

I've not used Ghost in a long time, but if possible, could you perhaps dump it into say a
virtual machine and use it there?

Hi Pablo,

Alright, good luck to you and if you don't mind, I wouldn't mind hearing how this turns out.

hi,

this solution didn't work, because of an error, i think the ghost backup
doesn't go well with virtual box, as my last resort, i make ghost backup
of actual windows installation, and restore the previous windows and
recover the password, and restore actual windows again. but thanks for
your help anyway.

Regards,
Pablo
