Lost product key for vista 32bit

I downloaded the 32 bit version of vista several weeks ago & then had a
problem with my laptop which required it being sent away for repair. It has
now returned with a brand new hard drive & all of my emails including the
product key from microsoft have gone. Is there any way of getting a new key?

Try asking in the vista newsgroups.

No.
You need to restore from your back-ups.
Otherwise you have permanently lost your key.

Just go to Vista Bete 2 dowload again, you will get the same key you had
before

Going back is not an option since the links are now gone since the program
closed.
Even before, AFAIK, there was no way to get the original key.
Reregistering and getting a new key was necessary.
