Hi,
All SP1 does is correct the reporting of the amount of installed ram. It
does not and cannot increase the limitation on addressing in a 32 bit
installation I explained in my other response.
Readyboost is designed for systems with low amounts of installed ram, above
2GB it is of virtually no use at all.

I did install SP1--but Update had not yet installed it when I asked
the question.
I never knew about the 3.25GB limit! SysInfo now shows 4.00GB
installed, 3.00GB physical memory. ReadyBoost still says there's a
cache in another device on the system.
Am I correct in assuming that "missing" 1GB has been allocated to
cache? And if that's the case, how do I free it up, and how can I use
it>
Thanks for the responses.
