I have the same problem and that solution doesn't work for me. It restores a
trash can icon - the one with the full basket. If I then empty the trash bin,
the icon does not change to the empty trash can. I have tried this multiple
times. I sure would appreciate help. It all started when I accidently deleted
the recycle bin from the desktop. Thanks.
