Lost Rescycle Bin

I following the instructions for restoring my Recycle Bin Icon and having it
on my desk top which are on here, but I cannot even find it on my computer -
I fear that it must have been deleted becuase even search could not turn it up
Can someone help me - the Seven Posts on this subject ie., Click
desktop, Personalize, click on Recycle Bin Icon and apply and OK did not
bring it back anypalce I am really puzzled

You say it didn't bring it back, but what are you seeing after you
click on "Change desktop icons"? Is the box next to "Recycle Bin"
checked?

I think it was a mistake for Microsoft to put a "Delete" option on the
menu when you right-click the Recycle Bin. Its just too easy to hit
"Delete" there instead of "Empty Recycle Bin" It wasn't like that on
XP.
