A little while ago I Turned off the Tablet PC Optional Components not
realising that the Snipping Tool was part of it. I am having problems
turning it back on. Every time I try I get an error saying "An error has
occurred. Not all of the features were successfully changed". There's no
error number and the "Accessories/Tablet PC folder is empty.
Can anyone please help as I need to use the Snipping Tool.

Hi,

Try disabling your antivirus software first.

Hi,

Yes, delete the folder the components are trying to install to.

Hello Rick,
I have now tried many things, including deleting the Tablet PC folder. I
have also taken off all of my virus protection.
The Snipping Tool gets installed to the Accessories folder. I am worried
about deleting that folder in case I loose more components and are unable to
reinstall or switch them back on.
Do you have any other suggestions as I have now run out of ideas.

Hello Dave-UK,

I have looked in system32 and the SnippingTool.exe is not in there. Doing a
search the only reference I can find is in
windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-tabletpc-snippingtool_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6001.18000_none_ cfb2f7da0cc08338
where there appears to be the program SnippingTool.exe. The folder winsxs
also contains a folder containing a file SnippingTool.exe.mui.

I am at a loss here if you can throw any light on this is would be
appreciated.

Regards
Eddie
