lost updates ,windows vista

I tried to update my comp. with windows updates and received none?
Updates were installed: Never
no updates available.
I have windows vista home prem with 64 bit and I can't find my updates on
my comp. ! year old with all the updates and they are gone ,no old &no new
updates? I need help!!!!!!!

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this
machine (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?
