Got virus and had to reinstall XP pro, versions 2002. Lost usb drivers and
cannot find or install. VIA Rev 5 or later universal host controller will not
function (id by "Driver Detective"). Note from detection programs says
drivers can only be supplied by license agreement from Microsoft. IN
addition, HID complieant consumer control device and VIA OHCI Compliant IEEE
1394 host controller will not update either. I have updated chip set drivers
with no change. Anyone with a suggestion? Computer will work, witout usb
drivers but instal SP2, causes it to go to safe mode start up and opens
hardware repair menu to "USB device" without any details. Help?
