I downloaded and installed "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and
..NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86 " to my windows XP
(SP3)system , restarted the computer, and my "default" user id (meaning my
desktop and all the saved items on it) was unfindable by windows. Windows
"kindly" designed me a red desktop with 4-5 icons on it, calling me an
anonymous temp user... and eventually, I could use the start menu, find my
programs and use them
....but is this common?
and if it IS common, is there a fix?

Same online session before the "glitch", I uninstalled panda security 2009
using their uninstaller...nothing else of note happenned. Any suggestions.

IF YOU'VE BEEN HERE, FIXED THAT, please reply to ""

After uninstalling Panda (Internet) Security 2009, did you (1) immediately
enable the Windows Firewall and (2) download, install, and manually update a
replacement anti-virus application?

Had you purchased Panda (Internet) Security 2009 or was it a free-trial?
