Love / Hate relationship with Microsoft

My personal RANT...

Microsoft's marketing strategy is old school and is not
on that leading edge of staying pervasive as Mr. Gates had proclaimed
a few years ago.

That will be their demise (or not) if they don't change their
strategies both in terms of technological needs, as well as being in a
position of competitiveness. I'ts like a chess game. They don't want
to get "Check Mated" but their approach is totally OLD SCHOOL.

They need to get back to basics and concentrate on providing a solid
OS that gives us all the features and performances we need based on
the normal usage needs instead of trying to maintain the "Corporate
Lead" .

They also need to concentrate on writing tight code that takes
advantage of the Killer Performing platforms now available to the
general public. IE- Machine specs. We should not have to keep
upgrading hardware to keep up with sloppy code writers.

EG- If you installed Windows 98 SE on the machines sold today you
would have a KILLER machine in terms of performance. Yes missing all
the feature today but the point is that they could tighten up the code
to perform miraculously on todays hardware with all the "Today" specs
and requirement.

With today's hardware advancements in terms of performance, we should
all have PC's that "KICK ASS". But Microsoft got lazy and have become
consumed by the American misguided marketing and profit scenario.

Wouldn't it be amazing if they would just write decent code and
concentrated on performance and feature? With today's platforms
based on today's technology we should ALL have 'Killer Machines"

I could go on and on...but the bottom line is that MS needs to get
back to loving their customers and also LISTEN to them....instead of
trying to be the world's market leaders in top sales.

This ignorance on their part is exactly why people seek alternatives.
If they don't change their strategy and practices, they will be just
like the Rise and Fall of Rome. A mere droplet in the history books 50
years from now.

Grrrrrr.

Respectfully,

Trev

What a crock of sh_t. It's quite apparent the ignorance does not
pertain to Microsoft.

That's where Linux comes in. A modern and innovative and powerful OS that
really screams on today's hardware. Try it.

http://www.ubuntu.com

Cheers.

Ever since he installed SP1, his computer won't bootup anymore. Thankfully,
he's gone to bit heaven and we don't need to see his sorry ass around here
any longer. Either that, or one of the commies that lurks under his bed,
did him in.

Cheers.

You must be really dense. Linux is anything but modern and innovative.
Linux is 30 year old technology that people are trying to boost to become
competitive with Windows but is failing at that task.

Imagine Ubuntu/Linux is FREE and most people don't want it. WOW. A Free
product that nobody wants. Must be some incredible software.

HINT: For people like you and Alias it's incredible. Now go slither over
to the Ubuntu group and help those poor saps. !!!!!!
