Hi, I've recently installed vista and have a small partition on m
hardrive containing some essential drivers. However, in vista becaus
this partition is only fractionally bigger than the drivers (I'm quit
pressed for space and didn't want to waste any extra hard drive) then
get low disk space warnings. These are not just once but incessantly an
quite irrelevant as it does not matter how little space there is no tha
partition.

Does anyone know of how to turn off this warning (preferablly driv
specific) without just increaseing the partition size?

Many thanks for any help

You don't waste hard drive.. leaving enough space is a step towards NOT
losing all of the data.. why not burn the drivers to a CD/DVD, and release
some space in the small partition?

You can unassign a drive letter in Administrative Tools > Computer Management >
Disk Management to get rid of the warnings, but you will not be able to read or
write to the disk without a drive letter.

Check out this link:

Good luck!

Lang

P.S. This was the first link returned by a Google search for "vista disable
low disk warning". Next time, you might want to give Google a shot before
posting in here... Not that Google's always going to pop the answer in the
first link, but I think many folks who attempt to assist other's in this ng
use Google or some other search engine to research solutions that don't come
immediately to mind.

Glad to hear you googled it before coming here. My bad for assuming
otherwise. Yes, indeed, it can be the forming of the phrase that returns the
"perfect hit." I guess I stumbled on the "perfect phrase" for your issue.
Glad to hear the Google link to the solution worked for you.

Lang
