hi,
i have a TOSHIBA A300 15B (PSAJ4E) laptop.. i "downgraded" to windows XP 64
Edition and managed to load all drivers however when it comes to audio issue
it is a bit problematic.. conexant hd smartaudio (cx20561) is the driver.. i
loaded many conexant drivers compatible with 64 bit( bcos toshiba didnt
provide a conexant audio driver for 64 bit) and at last conexant venice 5045
driver (i know it is not smartaudio dirver but they didnt work) works in
terms of giving sound out.. however the mic doesnt work properly (although
the input volume is at max i cannot hear my voice back unless i speak so
close to mic)..

i beforehand loaded realtek hd audio dirver and microsoft uaa audio bus
dirver update..

any suggestions about the problem (is it due to microsoft update or driver?)

thanks..

Contact Toshiba Support (and good luck with that).

I'm having problems with that driver too, I googled "conexant cx20561" and
found a driver in a page in Corean. I don't read that language but I
downloaded it anyway. The sound works but with a problem: I can't silence tue
computer with the volume control, I have to use anvanced controls and silence
the wave.
The Corean page is:

Just click the download, good luck!
